I've asked the same question on ubuntuforums.org twice and have not received and replies to either. I was hoping reaching out to a bigger audience might help. And I would have posted in the Networking section, but I couldn't find it. Feel free to move this thread.

I've set up my Ubuntu box by following this guide. And it's going just fine except for one thing. When I connect to the Ubuntu machine from the Mac (using AFP), I am not presented with a list of stuff I can mount, as I am with every other computer. Instead, it automatically mounts "Home Directory". I've got three folders that are being shared. My Dell (running Windows 7) sees all the shared folders without a problem.

Thanks for any help you can give.

Never mind, I realized my mistake. I mistook "uername1" to mean the username on the Mac, not the Ubuntu box. Problem solved!
