We don't really play a lot of video games, but my daughter loves some kind of Mario Kart type game, and we have 3 Steel Series controllers. Two are whatever the model that preceded the Stratus + and the other is a Stratus +. (the first 2 have colored buttons, while the Stratus+ buttons are black & white. (Apple TV is a 4K one, but not the most recent one where they added the Ethernet jack to the most expensive model only. It's the one before that)

My question is one or more of the controllers seems to stop working randomly. Today it was the Stratus +. In the middle of the game, it just stopped working, I couldn't steer the car or brake or anything. It still showed that it was connected as controller 3 and it showed 4 bars of battery life. It was working for the first few minutes of the game, then just cut out.

Has anyone experienced something similar, and if so, figured out how to resolve it? If not, does anyone have ideas for controllers that might work better for the Apple TV? I bought these as they seemed to be Apple specific, but wondering if I should try something else.

Thanks in advance.
