Trouble with voice-recording - iOS 4.0 - Important

Hey guys, I really appreciate any help you can offer.

After upgrading to OS4, I went to a pretty important meeting in which I recorded a conversation over an hour long. For some reason, when I sync my iPhone, this recording isn't coming over.

Also, when in the recorder app, when I click on it to listen to it, I just get the spinwheel - I took a screenshot and attached it to this post.

It's absolutely vital that I save that audio file. I somehow got it to play back for a period of time, but it won't now. Any suggestions on how to save it?

Any luck using the "share" feature? unlikely since the size of the file is large. maybe try iPhone Explorer to grab the file? I'm not sure there are any other options.

Share allows me to share up to 8 min at a time - though when I clip the first 8 min and hit "send email" it just goes back to the details screen - doesn't set up an email or anything.

I'll google iPhone Explorer and try that out.
