Trouble with wallpaper/lockscreen

Just got a new exchange. Jailbroke it with jailbreakme.com.

Was able to load a picture from my photo album to use on my lockscreen. Re-booted iPhone the lockscreen picture disappeared. Tried to load pic again now it won't load. Went to wallpaper under settings app and pic is there but it still won't load.

Any help?

Something weird happened. Was taking a call and it said my spring board crashed and I'm in safe mode. Then the picture I wanted came up then disappeared. I then clicked restart and now the pic isn't there.

This new replacement seems to be laggy, is it because of the jailbreak?

Now the pic came up after I rebooted. As I said this phone is laggy, I might exchange for another one. My previous iPhone was smooth but had issues with home button.
