Hey everyone. I am so sorry to be posting a topic I know has probably already been discussed at great lengths. However, with all the research I'm doing, I can't seem to find the answer to my exact problem.
I recently received my new MacBook Pro 13". Not with the Retina display. I have 10.8.2 OSX, and have Boot Camp 5.0.0.
I have a Windows Vista disk from our old computer and had Vista loaded on my older MacBook 13". I loaded Vista onto my partition of the new MacBook Pro after having run Boot Camp. Vista loaded just fine. I was able to down load the Service Packs for Vista on a disc from another computer and load them to the new MacBook Pro with no problem.
What I can't figure out is how to make my wireless internet work, and to get my USB ports activated. Vista is working fine regarding everything else . . . so far. I know it's a driver issue, I just can't seem to find one that works with the combination of Vista and the new Mountain Lion Boot Camp.
I tried to run the Windows Service Pack that Boot Camp 5.0.0 provided, but it won't run properly. There is an error that comes up saying that the "side-by-side configuration" isn't working right, or something like that. I also loaded as many drivers from the Windows Service Pack that I could manually do, and nothing. I'm thinking that Boot Camp is providing stuff for the newer Windows, and therefore not working in Vista.
Is there anything I can do to get my wireless and USB's up and running?
Thanks.
