Hi all,

Attempting to fix a superdrive problem - https://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?p=7117099#post7117099 - I wanted to zap my pram.

I've tried zapping the pram as described in the help pages....but I don't seem to be getting a normal pram reset ( from what I've read, you hold down command / alt / P / R on start up, let it beep twice, let go of the keys and let it restart. But if I hold down the keys, it never beeps, just restarts - if I keep the keys pressed down, it just keeps restarting. ).

Any ideas? :):(

Not to be a jerk, but are you sure you are holding down command/option/P/R, I know when I do the PRam reset on my wife's MB I accidentally hold the control key down thinking it's the option key, used to my MBP keyboard layout.

Not being a jerk at all Jon - all to easy to make a simple mistake, am I right in assuming the 'alt' key, is the 'option' key?
