i bought 10.7 the other day, but am unable to install it right now due to payment information not being correct.
as luck would have it, my last credit card expired this month, and they just sent me a new one. i just activated it but they told me i had to wait 24 hours for it to be good for online purchases.
my problem is, until my card is processed and cleared for online use, i cant download anything via my apple account (iphone and desktop).

usually 24 hours wouldnt be a huge problem, BUT ive already waited a week (roughly) to install this.
story- i installed 10.7, then thought i might as well do a clean install and wipe my drives, since i havent done so in 5 years. but once 10.7 was installed, the app store wouldnt allow you to download the file again to extract the dmg and put it on a dvd to burn. SO the only os on disc i had was 10.5. so i installed that, fresh. beauty. then i had to upgrade to 10.6 cause you cant get the app store on 10.5 (smart...), and i already paid for 10.7 so i might as well just do it properly and not pirate it.

summary- why must payment details be up to date to download pre purchased OR free apps on the app store. why must you force a legitimate purchaser of software contemplate pirating it just to save time and hassle.
