Has this happened to anyone else?

I pre-ordered the iPhone 4S on Friday morning around 1:30AM to find that it was being shipped to my parent's home (the same address as the billing info). Unfortunately, I'm a 6 hour car drive away from them (I'm in college). So later on Friday I called ATT (couldn't get through to Apple) to see if I could change the shipping address. After about an hour, she transfers me to an Apple rep, and he asks me where I would like to ship it. I tell him a friends house off-campus (my address is PO Box), but he tells me I have to physically be there to sign for it and that pre-signing is not an option. We finally work it out so that it would be shipped to either the UPS or Fedex hub in the city where I currently live and that I would place a hold on the order and go pick it up from the hub.

Fast forward to today - I've been checking my status order on Apple's site and nothing's changed for my shipping info. I decide to call Apple again. I explain the situation and the Apple rep tells me it's still being shipped to my parents home, 8 hours away. I ask her if I can change it to one of the hubs, but she says no because she doesn't know which courier it will be shipped on. She then asks me if I have any friends that I can ship it to off-campus and that I can pre-sign for it as soon as it ships. Surprised by this new ability to pre-sign, I tell her the address where I would like it shipped. The Apple rep also tells me that there's a small chance that even though the order is still "Preparing for Shipment," it could still be shipped to my parents house.

So as of now, I don't know when/where my iPhone will be arriving/shipping.

 :(

My question is, has anyone else experienced this? The second rep I spoke to really wished I remembered the name of the first rep because he basically wasted my time for an hour and a half...This whole experience has not been kind to my blood pressure....
