So it seems the headphone jack on my 4S is inoperative. Used it to the gym Saturday it was fine, then Sunday, when I went back to workout, the music/sound was emitting out of the 4S speaker even with the headphone jack pin inserted.
Troubleshooted this issue using my earphones into my MBA to see if the issue lies with my 4S or the earphones. It turns out the earphone is fine.
I realize the 5S is announced tomorrow, but would prefer to keep my 4S through next year. Any thoughts as to the issue and cost of repair if I brought it in to the Apple Store. I'm scheduling my appointment once I complete this thread.
