Hi All,
I tried searching around here and google to no avail, I apologize if I'm reposting.
My iPhone X accidentally took a swim in Lake Sonoma last weekend. It got stuck in a boot loop so I powered it down and popped it open when I got home to air dry, and now seems to be booting just fine.
The issue now is that the bottom ~inch or so of the screen is unresponsive to touch, making it impossible for me to type my password or swipe for Face ID. The camera was blanked out too as if it weren't connected but I'll get around to testing that once I can get in to the phone.
What I'm trying to deduce is whether this is a mere matter of replacing the display assembly, OR if this is more logic board related. Has anyone else experienced this? I'm handy to a degree but unsure of how to solve for the issue. Any advice would help!
