Please help and share your experience!

I'm running verizon fios Internet over wifi. I know the connection is fast enough to handle streaming radio(and video) for that matter. Speedtest.com averages at about a 18mbps download rate. This cannot be a bandwidth issue. The problem is that it simply seems unstable. For example sometimes it'll buffer a 10 minute YouTube video easily, other times it will stall and I'll have to wait.

This is KILLING my experience with all these awesome streaming radio apps. I reccommend ootunes btw. I'll listen no problem for a while, then it'll constantly buffer and eventually not be able to play the stream and buffer at 0% and get nothing. This happens with many streaming apps such a YouTube, iheartradio, yahoo radio, ootunes, mlb2009 radio broadcasts, etc etc.

Please help, where could the problem lay? The router? The fios? The ipod? What can I do?!
