This is super weird. Picked up my 13 pro max and enabled True Tone. Switching between True Tone enabled and disabled, the screen is way more yellow when True Tone is off. This is backwards to how it’s been every iPhone since True Tone came out. Maybe I’ll keep it on?!
 
Had you restored from backup, and if you did, did you ever have colour filters set up? Settings -> Accessibility -> Display & Text Size -> Color Filters

Nervermind. It is because I was outside. Inside it’s yellow with True Tone. Back to disabled!
