True Tone

MacBook Pro here. True Tone will turn off by itself even with the box checked. Then I’ll check / uncheck True Tone and nothing happens. A restart fixes it

is this just a bug or hardware related? Ty
 
Does anyone know? I woke up today to find my computer had restarted again and the True Tone is not working at all again. This is a brand new Mac set up as new, no backup or transfers ever done to it.
