Hey.

I have my MacBook Pro 13" 2018 for over 2 years now and I'm using external monitor LG 27uk850-w almost all the time.
With Catalina I've noticed True Tone is working on my monitor - ofc when the computer is in open mode.

So a few days ago I got Big Sur and I saw that True Tone is working only on the computer, but not on the monitor.

It's kinda annoying, since the colors are quite different (especially white/lights).

Is there anything I can do with it? (monitor is connected via usb-c cable)

Hey buddy. I've been experiencing the same issue ever since I installed the Big Sur MacOS update.. the quality of the screen got downgraded a lot.

So.. I tried to mess around and see how I could possibly resolve the issue. It turns out that you can fix it!

Go to your 'Settings > Monitor > and unclick the following box: 'High dynamic reach' > the translation might be off, as I'm running on Dutch settings.

Somehow, the monitor re-booted and the settings which I used to have pre-Big Sur update all came back! I hope that this fix will solve it for you as well.

Cheers!
