That's pretty cool. It's not bad for a minimalist design, although those flip-book changing pictures I find irritating (I don't want animated wallpaper either!).

The messaging app with integrated messages sent via SMS, Facebook, Twitter, etc, was pretty cool. I'd like to see Apple copy something like that in a future iMessage.

+1 for originality. it's nice to see someone not just blatantly copying iOS.

but it doesn't look like something I would want to use. too disorganized for my liking.

Worked fine on my phone, pretty cool. Mango is a massive improvement vs before. Looking at vids and reviews, people seem pretty impressed with it, pretty slick OS.

I commend them for creating something original.

But in all honesty I hate it. There is stuff going on all over the place. There is no natural flow. Your swiping in all directions. Multiple channels to multiple functions.

My job is web site / web app usability and one of the biggest factors in design is flow and using techniques like anchoring.

You should have areas of contrast to define headers and content or important bits of information. This design is all slushed together with no clear separation and the fonts are way too big in places for stuff that isn't important.

It's hard too see the content, too much screen real estate taken up by unessesary things and red is a very provocative and emotional colour which is a particular problem to colour blind people.

The best designs are simple on focus on experience or content, this is trying to do that but trying too hard. There is just stuff going on all over the place.

I'll be the cog in the wheel.
I think it sucks. To not be able to see an icon for any specific thing you want to do is counter-intuitive.

But hey! Good luck Microsoft.

What do you mean? There are icons everywhere in WP7

I tried it out and honestly it looks nice and all, but i could not use it as my normal phone.

Something about it just bugs me but i can't seem to figure out what it is exactly.

Yes there are but you have to go through 3 panels to get to some of them.

With IOS you simple swipe left or right.

Simple is good in some circumstances.

That sounds like the same thing. You swipe left and right in hubs and in home pages. I think it's just something you'd need time to get used to really.

Ever since Windows Phone 7 was announced, I've been wondering this...what's up with all the unused space on the right side of the home screen? Seems like such a poor design decision.

I can't be the only one who finds this annoying.
