As much as I love Newertech batteries, I find it hard to justify putting a $60 battery in a $40-60 laptop.

I bought a cheap aftermarket battery a while back for about $20, but it's been nothing but trouble. The current rating is nowhere near what is advertised, and the fit is so horrible that I find myself often needing to use cardboard shims to keep the battery in contact.

I have one Newertech battery that came in a cheap 1ghz I bought, but as I said I'm hesitant to pay that much for more.

I'm going to give one of these a try. I'll report back here, and if I'm unhappy with it I'll send it back.

I was both impressed and pleased with the replacement battery for my PowerBook 15" I ordered on Amazon from this outfit.
