Playing around with 4.0 GM (decided to take the plunge since I expect a jailbreak soon and I trust that the Dev Team's new unlock will be better than blacksn0w anyway). This of course means I've lost my jailbreak for the time being.

So what do I miss most? Not surprisingly, SB Settings. The ability to toggle Bluetooth, brightness, and WiFi without going into settings each time is worth more than I imagined. If you think you love SB Settings now, try going without it for a day. Other than that, it's really minor tweaks I miss, especially Cyntact. And missing features like AVRCP skip/repeat support.

What have I been surprised not to miss? Backgrounder, mainly. I think once WunderRadio and NAVIGON are updated to take advantage of the new APIs I will be able to dispense with it altogether.

Reasons I will Still Jailbreak 4.0:

1. SB Settings
2. Full AVRCP support
3. Cyntact
4. iFile/Safari Download Manager
5. Minor Tweaks (Custom carrier logos, renaming apps, etc)

What's your experience?

I still cant wrap my head around why Apple hasn't implemented a sbsetting's like page with all the controls. They put so much effort into building a better battery for the iPhone, but cant make it convenient to turn functions on and off.

Wait? Full AVRCP Support? I've been looking for that...is there a jb app to make that work??

(Free) Tethering.
LockInfo.

That is all.

JB is already available - albeit very buggy...

David Ashman is working on a version for 4 of Lockinfo.... As soon as its working I'm going to put my main 3GS onto 4....

I'll miss the haptic vibration - thats the only thing I can think of that will probably not get adapted for 4

Because these are settings, not functions. You are not supposed to change them quite often. You might do so, but most of the people don't.

reasons why i wont upgrade to iOS 4 or iphone 4 until its jailbroken:

-themes
-mywi
-infinidock
-quickreply / bitesms
-ifile / safari dload manager
-backgrounder

I will still jailbreak on iOS4:

Winterboard
Custom sound notifications and themes
sbs settings
MyWi
extended prefs
ability to SSH to phone.
