I am giving Duet Display a try as Luna Display does not support portrait mode and they advise they have no idea when it will be
So I created all the stuff in Duet Display, got it running between the two, and it will not rotate to portrait on the iPad. Even though they state on their webpage it supports it and in fact is automatic when you rotate your iPad.
Weird thing is it DOES go to portrait on the Mac Mini desktop monitor, but is locked to landscape on the iPad - even though auto-rotate is NOT locked...I can confirm this simply by shutting down Duet and the iPad goes back to rotating when I turn it!
I've tried both optimise settings available under displays when Duet is running (ie optimise for Mac mini or optimise for Duet) neither makes any difference.
Any one else had this issue? It was one of the main reasons I bought the mini- to use as a "headless" device for stage work.
******warning re security***** These people also refuse to delete your data - in the course of trying to get this to work I sent (at their request) a rather large text file with a lot of the settings and other data from my Mac. Despite repeated requests to delete ll such data, they fobbed it off with a "you don't have to worry" - I could delete the account I setup with them, but they refuse to delete any other data. So there's a warning!
