I cannot get this to work

Imac is running High Sierra and is a 2011

MacMini is a 2018 and running Mojave.

Both are hardwired so no wireless.

I setup file sharing on. I added the folder I wanted to share.

Here is where I have no clue what to do.

When I go to the network on the mini I can see the iMac. I click it and then hit "connect as" button.

It says user name and password. I have no clue what these should be. I leave it as default user name and I try using he password that is used on iMac and it does not work.

Need help.

I simply want to copy the photos library from the iMac to my Mac mini

The username and password are the username and password from the iMac. If you open a Terminal on the iMac and write whoami and hit return, it will show your username. If enabled you can also just click guest in the connect as menu, though you may have limited permisions that way
