Trying to add Hotmail account to Mail..

but it isn't working. I have my school e-mail running and it works fine. The Hotmail account has a a triangle next to the name and an alert pops up saying: "Could not connect to 'Hotmail'
Access to Hotmail via Outlook and Outlook Express now requires a subscription. Please sign up at http://join.msn.com/general/Email"

I've been to the site but I don't see anything that has to do with e-mail, just messenger. Suggestions? Thanks.

That no longer works for most hotmail accounts. Since MS offers POP3 for free now, there is no point in using plugins.

The plugin is no longer necessary as Hotmail now officially supports POP3.
