Is this possible?

I'm only asking as I'm trying to upgrade the HD in my PS3 and would like to back up the current contents of the HD on to my Mac.

I've got a USB/USB cable plugged into both of them, but the PS3 just isn't recognising my Macbook.

Am I doing something wrong? Or is the Mac formatted differently to the PS3 or something?

Thanks loads in advance ...

my thoughts

not sure if that possible. You could boot up your Macbook in Target Disk mode, but think it only allows you to transfer via Firewire, which neither machine has.

Alternatively you would better off plugging in a USB Hard drive into PS3, then use Saved Data Utility and copy save games to the drive.
