Im trying to back up my iTunes library and information folder. It doesn't contain my mp3's or any music, but its the default folder where my iTunes library and .iti and .xml files are, in order to properly backup/restore an iTunes library.

Im using the app SyncFolders Pro which works beautifully to set up scheduled syncs between my iMac and my external drive, basically duplicating and backing up folders originating on my hard drive.

However, when i attempt to assign the originating folder to be copied and synced, it won't allow me and the error states

The folder path can not be saved. Check the permissions of folders:

/Users/steve/Music/iTunes,

~/Library

Any way to adjust the permissions, to allow this system folder to be synced on a daily basis to my external?
