I have a Synology DS107 NAS with AFP turned on and can see the drive mounted in Finder using my Macbook running 10.6.1. I am trying to backup my photos (which currently reside on an external drive connected via FW400).
My plan is to have Super Duper or Carbon Copy Cloner backup the photos to a sparse image on the DS107.
However, both CCC and Super Duper (latest versions of each) crash as soon as I try to create the rules for setting this up. Not sure if this is a problem with trying to run these programs to make a sparseimage via AFP or if there is something else I am missing.
Advice is greatly appreciated - especially if you have other suggestions for doing the above.
Thanks,
E
