I just rec'd two imac OS X Leopard dvds that I'm trying to install on a 1st gen Intel iMac. I'm also using a logitech windows keyboard, NOT the original keyboard that came with it.

Problem:

I inserted the first install disk, held down the ALT key so it would boot from the dvd and I get to a window with a lock on it and a text box which I assume is for a password. How do I get beyond this. I have no idea what the password is. There is no OS on the hard drive....when it boots, it goes to the folder/flashing question mark. How can I get the dvd to install? Thanks.

Okay....after looking through the threads here....seems this is a firmware lock. How would I get passed this? I've already removed the ram and reset it when I replaced the superdrive. Keep in mind, I'm trying to boot the install dvd so I an put osx Leopard onto the hd.
