MP 1,1-5,1 Trying to connect a Kinect to bootcamp cmp W10

Hi, I thought id try to use the Kinect I have laying about as a web cam, I think I'm almost there, in the Kinect configuration app all's good, the USB card is compatible, I've used a Renesas USB 3 pcie card, however the Kinect wont power on, I've checked it powers up on the Xbox so all connections are good. I've read that the USB card needs to have the sata 15pin auxiliary power supply connected, the two 6 mini pin auxiliary power are connected to my RX580, I can't use one of those, that the leaves an unused sata HDD port in the optical drive bay or the back plane, I've searched online for a cable adapter that will plug directly into the sata HDD port and extend a cable to the usb card without the data, cant find one? Is there a specific cable available? Many thanks


I'm thinking I could adapt this cable, cut off the sata data cable where it connects to the back plane, cut off the connector at the other end and splice a female 15pin sata plug to connect to the USB card.

I made up a cable using above parts, but the Kinect still wouldn't power on

Third times a charm, success with this USB 3 card, even thou the Kinect configuration app states there's no available USB 3 connection, its all good.
