I have an older G5, so I have a VGA port. As instructed by the people at Apple, I bought a Mini VGA to VGA adapter, then a male/male VGA connector. Everything plugs in perfectly. I then change the source on the Samsung to "PC" and on my Mac go Displays then click on "Detect Settings" and under every possible resolution, nothing works. The TV screen says "Looking for signal" then goes completely black, and the red light just keeps flashing.

To make sure that the male/male VGA cable worked, I plugged an IBM Thinkpad into my TV and it works perfectly.

Can anyone help to make this work?!

I also tried to purchase a VGA/DVI adapter and got a DVI to HDMI plug and that does not work either.

I tried shutting and unplugging everything and starting over too, and that does not work.
