trying to connect my phone to the MBP

I have a samsung dual flip phone, that came with a USB plug to connect my phone to a computer. Any Ideas how to get this to work? When I hook the phone up, my MBP does not recognize it.

It is probably only windows compatible. Make sure that your phone is in "pc mode" or usb transfer mode, or something like that. It should show up as a removable drive in finder and on your desktop.

Most phones that sync nicely with OSX will do so via Bluetooth...I recommend scouting out this possibility.

What do you want to do with your phone? If it's photos, it's probably easiest to use bluetooth, if you want to use iSync then check if your phone's supported, as for music I'm not too sure. I never used a mobile for music before my iPhone.
