Everytime I upload that ical backup file... nothing happens in google calendar. It does nothing in Firefox... and safari I just get 0 was transferred. I just want to bring over my calendar to google. Does anyone know what is going on? Anything I am missing?

Thank you

You want to Export, not Backup. Backup is specifically read by iCal, and contains information on all your calendars and everything. Export exports a specific calendar to the standard .ics format that Google Calendar can read.

I get this message when exporting

Processed zero events.

Failed to import events: Unable to process your iCal/CSV file..

I think my iCal may be corrupt because it crashes when Exporting my non profit events.

Well thank you all for the help.... might have to redo my calendar from scratch =/

Why export when you can sync the two using CalDAV (there are guides on the gCal help section)? That way any changes you make in iCal will be synced with gCal and vice versa.

Got it working.... actually this is better. One question how can I copy and paste my iCal information to Google Calendars?

What do you mean exactly? CalDAV should just sync all information between iCal and gCal.

But the CalDAV calendar is your Google Calendar. When you set up CalDAV in iCal, it shows up along side your existing calendar, it doesn't merge with it. So if you already have an existing calendar that you want to add there, that's why you'd need to export and have it show up in Google Calendar.
