Where can I find a copy of 11.5.5. It's the last iteration that works with 10.14.6.

Tried to install it, but I could not get it to work. Something about a broken pipe.

Do you have any other modifications installed? Like MacForge or such? I know the PaintCan plugin for MacForge has exactly this effect on the VMware Fusion version you're using.

Temporarily disable MacForge when using VMware is the only solution I've come across if you're also using PaintCan plugin.

Also, 11.5.7 is the latest version that works with Mojave.

No, I have niether MacForge nor PaintCan. I tried to uninstall, but to no avail. I went into the library and cleaned out everything tied to VM and it did not help. When I try reinstalling, it does not give me the Bios selection screen...I also installed 11.5.7 and still does not work. Also, the error is: the Vmmon is not loaded, and Transport (VMDB) error - 14.

odd to say the least.. I mean... perhaps there's a bit more files related to VMware on your system that you need to clear out?

Is your process; downloading and doubleclicking the VMware icon in the DMG file, then go from there after VMware launches?

If VMware fails right then and there, then that's a problem for sure.

Then you're installing Windows 10 or some sorts? But you're not getting anywhere with that?

Well, I think I found the problem. I have a VMware folder in StagedExtensions sub directories that macOS says I need and will not let me delete it.

Thanks for your direct download link, appreciated.
Cheers.

    • 2010 Mac Pro Six Core, Eight Core, and Twelve Core.
  • Software
Supports only macOS 10.14 Mojave or macOS 10.15 Catalina hosts.

What's New

This release of VMware Fusion is a free upgrade for all VMware Fusion 11 users. This release provides the following:

  • Performance improvements, bug fixes and security updates.

Important Fixes

This release of VMware Fusion addresses the following issues:

  • VMware Fusion contains a use-after-free vulnerability in the XHCI USB controller. A malicious actor with local administrative privileges on a virtual machine may exploit this issue to execute code as the virtual machine's VMX process running on the host. The Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures project (cve.mitre.org) has assigned the identifier CVE-2020-4004 to this issue. See VMSA-2020-0026 for more information.
  • VMware Fusion contains a privilege escalation vulnerability due to the way it allows configuring the system wide path. An attacker with normal user privileges may exploit this issue to trick an admin user into executing malicious code on the system where VMware Fusion is installed. The Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures project (cve.mitre.org) has assigned the identifier CVE-2020-3980 to this issue. See VMSA-2020-0020.1 for more information.

The entitlements related security improvements have been implemented as suggested by Csaba Fitzl (@theevilbit).
