Do you have any other modifications installed? Like MacForge or such? I know the PaintCan plugin for MacForge has exactly this effect on the VMware Fusion version you're using.Tried to install it, but I could not get it to work. Something about a broken pipe.
No, I have niether MacForge nor PaintCan. I tried to uninstall, but to no avail. I went into the library and cleaned out everything tied to VM and it did not help. When I try reinstalling, it does not give me the Bios selection screen...I also installed 11.5.7 and still does not work. Also, the error is: the Vmmon is not loaded, and Transport (VMDB) error - 14.Do you have any other modifications installed? Like MacForge or such? Temporarily disable MacForge when using VMware is the only solution I've come across if you're also using PaintCan plugin.
Also, 11.5.7 is the latest version that works with Mojave.
VMware has this "How to Uninstall VMware Fusion Manually (1017838)"IS there an official uninstall tool? I will try that if there is...
All about kernel extensions; look to the last section for the pertinent details:Well, I think I found the problem. I have a VMware folder in StagedExtensions sub directories that macOS says I need and will not let me delete it.
I found a SUDO command that wiped it out. I may try Parallels instead. All about kernel extensions; look to the last section for the pertinent details:
