Hi,

As the title says,

I exported about 40 chapter markers with my project from Final Cut Express with the <CHAPTER> markers, and now I have the quicktime file in iDVD, and I am wondering how I can make a scene selection menu from those markers?

Also note:

When I open the movie up in quicktime, I can see the dropdown menu with the markers added.

After continuing to decipher the manual, i have come up with this:

When exporting from a sequence, only sequence markers are exported; markers in
clips are ignored.

How do I make chapter markers that are not in the clip themselves

ARGH! This is very frusturating. I have spent almost 4 hours trying to do this.

Actually, I have verified that my markers ARE sequence markers. They appear green.

Have you gone to the preferences and selected the movie tab; then made sure the create chapter submenus is selected? If it isn't, select it again, save it, close it and then resubmit the movie from FCE and see if that will do it. I've never done it from FCE before, only iMovie. I would help more if I could.
