Trying to get PCSX2 to work on El Capitan

I have a mid-2007 20" iMac, 5GB RAM, 1TB hard drive, 2.4GHz Core 2 Duo. I was able to get the PCSX2 emulator to work when I was running Mavericks, but I've had no success yet getting it to come up after updating to El Capitan. I've tried a couple downloads from videos on YouTube, and the ones that claim to be compatible with Yosemite and Mavericks aren't working for me on El Capitan.

I'm not very educated with programming jargon and systems, but I can find my way if anyone can give me some direction.
