Hey all,

Im very new to emulating stuff, but I am trying to run Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Rogue Spear for years on my imac, always without any luck. I miss this game to much. Now Catalina has shut down 32bit games its a permanent loss to ever get it running..

Untill i found out about SheepShaver. Might this be the solution?

I installed SheepShaver and installed OS9 in the emulator. Next i downloaded Rainbow Six Rogue Spear for mac via macintoshgarden.org. Its a .sit file. Unfortunately, it didnt just work by transferring the file from my OSX to the OS9.

I searched further on the net, and found some solutions about an application called StuffItExpander. I cant seem to find how to install this in my OS9 environment on SheepShaver.

Im very new to SheepShaver, so I might be doing things wrong. Any ideas about this?
Am I chasing windmills, or could it actually work to play Rogue Spear on SheepShaver?

BTW, Im running a 2017 mac with Catalina.

Couldn't say if Rogue Spear would work but Stuffit Expander should have installed with Mac OS 9 as it is bundled with OS 9. I forget the actual default location. I think it was under Internet Tools > Aladdin or something like that. Just look through the folders.

Hm, and old post, but not that old?
Actually I doubt that SheepShaver will run the game, as Rouge Spear was made for the Mac G3 aka MPC 750 and dedicated GPU.
SheepShaver partially emulates a MPC 603 cpu, which is way older and lacks GPU support.

Nevertheless, I´ll give it a go. I may be that QemuPPC Mac OS runs the game.
SIT files may be inflated in Catalina by The Unarchiver, btw, free from Mac App Store.

Edit:
No dice neither with SheepShaver 2.5 nor with QemuPPC 5.0 Screamer on my side with Catalina 10.15.7. :(
