Trying to Homebrew my Wii; how to mount FAT16 SD card on a Mac?

I picked up an SDHC card last week to finally hack our Wii, and I ran a terminal command on it to format it to FAT16. I can't get it to mount on my MBP running 10.7.2, and I'm running out of ideas about how to make it happen.

Anyone have any advice?

FTR, I'm trying to run the LetterBomb exploit on it, if that helps anyway.
