Trying to hook iPhone 5 up to Audi via glovebox ... too tall + wrong connector

Title says it all. My iPhone 4S barely fit in the glovebox and now the 5 is too big for the door to shut, if it even had the correct connector.

It's one of those models with the presized tray for an iPhone to slide into.

What should I do? I thought about getting an adapter or extension cable or something, but I'm not sure if it's a USB connection or analog audio only. I'm guessing audio only, so a simple adapter only won't work.

Thoughts?

U should be able to get an answer from an Audi forum.

Am going to guess the answer will be... Whenever Apple get to it and pass along the spec to accessories vendors.
