Hey guys, recently a friend of mine wanted me to install bootcamp on her 2014 MBP.

I tried to install it using a windows 7 64bit iso i]I have, but bootcamp assistant refused to see the main internal hard drive as a viable install location. It kept saying to insert a USB drive to install windows to that.

What are my options here? I'll post more info if needed. Also as a sidenote I no longer have her laptop with me.

Thanks guys,
Micro

The USB is not for the install location but for the drivers required for Windows.

What he said. You should try and read the instructions a bit more closely, the process is explained quite well in the bootcamp assistant.

Yes but the external drive I had connected already had the drivers installed on it. I supposed I could install over them and try again, but that seemed redundant.
