So, I'm trying to install Drupal 6.17 locally with MAMP. I've installed it on live servers before with no trouble, so I don't understand what's going on here. I can't get past the setup screen because something about my database settings are incorrect. I checked them all, though. Username, database title, and host are all correct. Any ideas? None of the articles recommended in Drupal's documentation section were helpful.

It's not much to go on. Can you provide the exact error message and error number if there is one? Have you check error logs for Apache, PHP, and MySQL?

Nevermind, I figured it out. MAMP databases make a default password. I'm so dumb.
