Not good instructions....

Between step 6 and just before 7 are you rebooting your iPad?

Yes, I've rebooted several times. Seems there are many items I can't install now due to this conflict. And I've scoured the interwebz looking for a solution. :(

You might try adding then,

* * <key>wildcat</key>
* * <true/>

I needed to add it to get some apps to install on my iPad(1). Generally I keep it at the same state as the iPad key. I forget at this point what app required that iPad was set to false and wildcat was set to true, but one did require this combination. Of course after adding it, you'll need to do a reboot, not simply respring.

The "**" are artifacts of the board and should NOT be included, make it look like your iPad setting....

Hope that helps.

This is great news. You're the only one that's helped me...

I added the wildcat code you suggested and with both iPad and Wildcat "On", it will allow to install the iPhone apps, but it wants to UNINSTALL Spire. Um!!?? What should I do?

FYI:
When I originally installed Spire, it did uninstall a photos tweak I paid for - from Cydia - "PhotoAlbums+ for iPad".

LOL this reminds me of the Directv and xCon game....

I'm at this point constantly fighting with spire, iPad, and wildcat....

Basically if you want the program bad enough you let it uninstall spire, when it is installed, you then re-install, spire and everything works for a while. Until the next update. It is more hoops to jump through. :mad:

I tried just this, and it actually uninstalls everything I forced. ugh!

Have you reinstalled sprie? With it uninstalled a lot of programs will appear gone until you reinstall like I said. Your program should not have uninstalled programs it didn't warn you about. Try reinstalling spire and rebooting after it is reinstalled...

No there is a glitch and I ran into this too.
I kept running in a loop with one deleting the other depending on what I set the Plist on.
I finally gave up and left it with just spire and not try to install siritate.
