Trying to Install Leopard -- Can't Find Destination

So I've read all of the support threads throughout Macrumors and the Apple Support Forums, and it just doesn't seem to be working.

When I'm trying to install leopard onto my Powerbook (1gz, 2gb ram), there is no harddrive showing up in the destination selection field or the disk utility.

I've been waiting nearly two hours now and nothing.

Try the advanced part of the solution and see if that works for you. Or click a few times where it SHOULD show up and see if the icon comes into view.
