Hi- I am running High Sierra (10.13) on my MacPro (mid 2010) and I want to install Yosemite (10.10) on a separate internal hard drive in order that I can keep using my Kodak printer. I've been following an article from MacWorld dated last November which deals with this scenario, but it simply won't work, as I'll explain.
I have Yosemite Installer in my Purchased Apps and I've downloaded it and copied it to a formatted blank drive. However, when I boot up with only that drive installed, I get a start-up screen which offers to install Sierra, not Yosemite. OK, this would be fine too, but when I click on it to go ahead, I get the message box "To download and restore Mac OS, your computer's eligibility will be verified with Apple - Cancel or Continue"
So I click 'continue' but nothing at all happens (except the box disappears and I'm back to square one).
Can anyone help me with this? It's VERY frustrating that Apple won't allow me to install the OS that I want to! Surely there's a way around this, anyone?
Many thanks.
