Hi, I tried to install Windows 10 in my macbook air 2012 while also removing osx. What I did is from the recovery disk utility, I formatted the drive into a single partition (MBR, FAT) and successfully installed Windows 10. The problem begins when I install the boot camp drivers. After a while during the install process, the screen turns black and nothing happens. Even when restarting the device, I would see the Windows boot logo animation but after that, black screen. However when I used the Internet recovery and installed OSX again, I was able to install (bootcamp assistant) Windows 10 successfully and was able to install the drivers without the black screen problem. Does anyone know why the black screen happens when installing the boot camp drivers if OSX is not installed side by side? Thanks!
PS. The Windows 10 installer I used in both instances was made through the boot camp assistant
