Trying to JB...

I've never attempted a JB before,

Attempting it now using the redsn0w download and got to the part when using the redsn0w.exe and it has stuck on "uploading ramdisk" and hasn't moved for about 10 minutes,

is this normal or has it gone wrong?

fixed,

seems starting again running as admin and under XP got past that part...

hopefully will get somewhere now....
