Trying to just get photos from previous backup-where are they stored?

I had an issue with my Iphone back on 06/25/2011. I had synced it so photos I had on that day are somewhere on PC. When I rebooted it, I had a lot of my programs missing. The photos were gone out of my photos folder.

Basically the bottom line is where are the photos stored when you sync your Iphone with your PC? Is there a hidden folder than I could find to get those photos?

Isn't it in your Photos directory in your Documents?
