Hey All,
I tried a search but could not find anything even though I remember reading a post somewhere about this.
I just received my replacement late 08 Pro and am trying to transfer files, settings profiles and such. As I start up the new Pro it gets to the transfer from selection. I choose Time Machine as that is what I am using and then select my network. I then says its 'scanning back up' or something like that and just keeps doing that. The longest I have waited was 30 mins thinking maybe the size of the back up has something to do with it. I then tried activating Pro with out migration and doing it manually after I have set up the Pro. I then get stuck with two profiles so when I restart I always have to select the profile I want.
I seem to remember that when I went from my Air to my previous Pro the migration worked fine, transfered profiles, email and everything with out a hitch and only one profile.
Am I missing something. i would greatly appreciate any help from anyone who has gone through this and thanks in advance.
