Trying to put an iCloud icon in dock

1. Is there some reason that Apple does not make this easy to do?
2. I followed a tutorial, and was able to put the icon on the dock of my iMac, though when I do the same thing on my MacBook Pro, it does not work. I do Go > Go to Folder and paste
/System/Library/CoreServices/Finder.app/Conten
ts/Applications/

However, the icon for iCloud that is there does not look right (image attached), and when I drag it to the dock and click on it, nothing happens.

Any suggestions?

I followed the instructions at iDB here.

It worked very well on my 2018 Mini and a friends iMac (both running Big Sur).
