Hi,

I recently migrated to a new mac, and managed to move all my data from my old mac hard drive that I removed and mounted with a USB dock, EXCEPT for an encrypted disk image that I created with disk utility. To make matters more complicated, it was being stored in my iCloud drive. I have attempted to recover the file from iCloud, but the file won't sync and when I download it directly from the browser it produces a zip file which can't be unzipped. I can SEE the file on my old hard drive in the library/mobile documents/com~apple~CloudDocs folder.. BUT I can't do anything with it - I can't move it, copy it, mount it... well I get info, I see it has a hidden file extension of .icloud... so it is x.sparsebundle.icloud.

Is there any way I can recover the data from this file! It is extremely important.

Thanks
