Trying to refer someone but getting a message, "Another user with this e-mail address

Well, that would be the problem right there wouldn't it? The refer-a-friend program is for referring friends, not referring current customers. I'm pretty sure all that stuff has to be done before he signs up.

so for this to work, you have to enter the e-mail address of the person before they activate their AT&T account?

No. That's wrong. Within 30 days of activation.

Well crap. I've stopped doing it because I was told it had to be before they even signed up. Ah, the incompetence at AT&T call centers never fails to amaze me.
