I've been trying to reformat my Seagate 750GB external HD to HFS+ so i can use it with Time Machine... or at least i'm attempting to. I chose Mac OS Extended for Volume Format and began the erasing process, but for the last hour or so the only thing it gave me was "newfs_hfs: /dev/rdisk2s1: parition size not a multiple of 4K."

I don't want to quit the program cause i might risk rendering my HD non-operational.

Can anyone help me out with this? Thx alot. ;P
