So Ive been trying my best to replicate the problem with reception dropping. I held the phone normally with left hand and right hand and could not drop signal, tried hold it in various positions bridging the gaps, and I tried bridging the gaps with metal (keys, screw driver, metal objects), still would not budge from full 5 bars.
After trying various positions of holding the phone in my basement (where I get 4 bars of signal instead of 5), I held it in my left hand bridging the bottom left antenna, and it went up to 5 bars (lol).
Finally, I tried to do a death grip, I put both my hands on the phone trying to cover as much of the metal band as possible, and bridging all 3 gaps. This time it kind of worked. Signal dropped from 5 bars to 3 after holding it like that for about a minute, held it for about 2 more mins and it would not go below 3.
For reference, I was on AT&T 3G network, wifi enabled and connected, GPS enabled but not in use.
maybe im doing something wrong?
