Trying to scan a document on a printer

I have been trying to scan a document on my 2017 imac it scans the document but i can,t see it anywhere.The printer is a Cannon MG3600
 
Using Image Capture to scan document, you can specify the output folder. Most likely the software used is putting scan in Pictures folder.

I will give that a try thanks.:)I did get it to work on my Windows machine.
