I'm trying to sell a macbook pro mid 2012 15in 2.6 ghz,8 GB of ram and 750 gb HD. I've checked out ebay and amazon, the prices are between 900-1300$ but thats a pretty wide range in , can someone tell me how much it could go for? The battery is at 98% with 186 cycles, and the body is in great condition ( it has 2 small scratches on the bottom )

$900 - $1300 seems a bit low for retina, but right for non-retina.

The sales on eBay have been about $1300 to $1700 - for retina MBP.

I prefer to buy my Macs used and I use the refurbished store as reference. I subtract 25% from the selling price and offer/bid on that. If it has applecare, it might be worth a bit more.

Your machine is still pretty awesome. Why are you selling?

$900 - $1300 seems about right.

I prefer to buy my Macs used and I look at the refurbished units as a reference and subtract 25% for a mint unit. It goes down from there. If you still have Applecare on it, it might be worth a bit more. Your model with your specs is going for $1519 on the Apple refurb store. 75% of that is $1150 or so.

It's still a pretty awesome machine. Why are you selling?

Thats actually a really good way to calculate the price! I bought it to use in class but over the last two years I think I took it out of the house maybe a dozen times. I figured I'd sell the MBP and buy myself an iMac since the one I use to watch netflix is almost 8 years old.

Thanks for the reply by the way!

lol, I corrected my post because I didn't realize there were still the non-retina screens in 2012.

Glad my info helped!
